Finding your device's MAC address

If you were sent here automatically from the Wi-Fi login page, you usually don't need this — your MAC address is filled in for you. This is only needed if the box was left blank.

iPhone / iPad
  1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi
  2. Find this Wi-Fi network in the list and tap the (i) info icon next to it
  3. Scroll down to Wireless Address — that's your MAC address
Android
  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → Wi-Fi
  2. Tap the gear/info icon next to this Wi-Fi network
  3. Tap Advanced if you see it
  4. Look for MAC address (sometimes labelled "Randomized MAC")

Can't find it there? Try Settings → About phone → Status → Wi-Fi MAC address instead — steps vary a bit by phone brand.

Important: newer phones use a different, randomised MAC address for every Wi-Fi network you join, for privacy. Make sure you copy the address shown for this network, not a "device MAC" from elsewhere — and if you disconnect and reconnect, it should stay the same as long as you don't turn off the "Private Wi-Fi Address" / "Randomized MAC" option for this network.
